Analyst, Investor Relations, Venture Capital, Oxford/UK (Maternity Cover – 12months)

The Opportunity: join our team

We are based in the centre of Oxford, one of the UK’s thriving technology clusters, and invest across the UK. We’re looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills to help support clients and their advisors with queries and account administration, by telephone, email and letter.

For over 20 years, we have offered private investors and family offices access to some of the most impactful technology companies in sectors which the UK is considered a world leader.  We partner with founders to grow their businesses and deliver meaningful impact beyond just financial returns.  Alongside our venture capital funds, we have set up and manage a range of alternative investment and private capital strategies.

We invest with a keen sense of long-term stewardship of our clients’ funds. Our aim is to deliver strong investment performance and to conduct our investing in a manner which is socially and environmentally responsible. We believe that our investment management activities should make a difference to the world around us. Location

The role is based in our head office in Central Oxford with home / flexi working.

Responsibilities

The main aspects of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide customer service support to our investors and advisors
  • Maintenance of client data base.
  • Provide dedicated support to the wider Investor Relations Team.
  • Supporting the Private Clients Team.
  • Develop business revenues and reputation through client satisfaction.
  • Ad hoc requirements supporting the wider business.
The person
  • Established track record with 1-2 years’ experience of customer service.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong internal and external communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft product suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Willingness to take responsibility and initiative.
  • Willingness to work towards EIS diploma and qualifications.

Investment Analyst, Venture Capital, Oxford/UK

We’re looking for an ambitious and talented analyst with strong interpersonal skills to join our team and back entrepreneurs who are solving big problems in innovative ways.

You will help make investments in seed stage companies and help support our portfolio companies to develop and thrive in international markets. We are based in the centre of Oxford, one of the UK’s thriving technology clusters, and invest across the UK.

Responsibilities

The role will involve:

  • Evaluating potential investment opportunities
  • Mapping industry landscape
  • Supporting the structure, negotiation and execution of investments
  • Legal/Financial/Technical Due Diligence Support
  • Supporting members of wider organisation in operations and investor relations
  • Portfolio Management
  • Investor Reporting
The person
  • Strong academics, and advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in financial modelling and deep analytical skills.
  • Motivated and upbeat. Passionate to make a difference with high IQ and EQ.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a desire to excel with a top team working at the leading edge in a competitive and regulated environment.
  • An interest in start-up eco system
